Today, I would like to talk about Creative Commons, and what they are.
Creative Commons, in short, give permission to use other people’s work, to an extent. Creative commons consist a total of six different Creative Commons (CC). Let’s get started!
Attribution (CC BY) allows make edits or additional works to your work, even for commercial purposes, as long as you, the creator, are given permission.
Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) allows the same thing that Attributions alone allows, however, you will need to keep the same terms that the original creator had provided.
Attribution-NoDerivs (CC BY-ND) allows others to reuse the work, such as sharing, while giving credit but terms still apply.
Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) allows what Attributions allow, but they cannot gain profit. However, they don’t need to put terms of the same kind in their work.
Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) allows what Attributions-NonCommercials allows, but you must list the same or identical terms used by you while giving credit.
Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND) does not allow others to profit from your works, or make any changes. It does, however, allows others to share your work while giving credit to you.
